BREAKING: Carleton not participating in Capital Pride, citing ‘timing and resources’

For the second year in a row, Carleton University will not be taking part in the Capital Pride parade.
Last year, Carleton withdrew from the festivities after Capital Pride released a statement declaring their solidarity with Palestine and expressing concern about rising levels of Islamophobia in Canada.

Carleton community reacts to new federal pharmacare law

The first step toward a national universal pharmacare program has now become law in Canada. 
The new legislation received royal assent on Oct. 10 and will allow the federal government to strike agreements with provinces and territories to include select diabetes medications and sexual contraceptives in the public health-care system.

Carleton grad creates tunnel navigation app

A recent Carleton University graduate developed an app to help people navigate the school’s vast tunnel system.
Didi Ogbowu, a former computer systems engineering student, launched the navigation tool in September. The app, called LabNav, has garnered more than 80 downloads so far.
Ogbowu said he hopes his app helps people get around campus more efficiently.
“The ultimate goal of LabNav is just to provide more information and hopefully make life easier for people using the tunnels,” Ogbowu said....
